Terms of Service & Disclaimers
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms apply to Forest Academy, operated by Built2Rise. By creating an account or enrolling, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Accounts
- You must be 18+ and the parent or legal guardian of any learner you add.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and parent PIN private and for supervising your children's use.
2. Memberships & billing
- Memberships renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Upgrades apply immediately with proration; downgrades apply at renewal.
- Founding pricing continues while you stay subscribed, as described on the pricing page.
3. 30-Day Family Peace-of-Mind Guarantee
New members may request a refund within 30 days of their first payment from Billing. Requests are reviewed and, when approved, refunded to the original payment method and the membership ends. After 30 days, refunds are prorated at our discretion. Your learning records remain available for export.
4. Marketplace & educator disclaimer
- Educators offering classes, tutoring, pods or materials are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Forest Academy.
- We approve listings but do not guarantee any educator's qualifications, background or results. Parents decide which classes suit their child.
- A parent or guardian should be present or nearby during any live video session.
5. Non-accreditation & compliance notice
Forest Academy is a homeschooling tool, not an accredited school. Seals, certificates, transcripts and dossiers record parent-attested home learning and do not award accredited credit or diplomas. Compliance tools help organize records but are not legal advice; confirm requirements with your local education authority.
6. Scholarship & education savings programs
We provide itemized invoices to help families request reimbursement from programs such as Step Up for Students or state ESAs. Each program decides eligibility; we cannot guarantee approval of any claim.
7. Acceptable use
No harassment, sharing other families' information, attempting to bypass security, or misuse of the AI tutor. We may suspend accounts that put children or the community at risk.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before a claim.
9. Changes
We will email members before material changes take effect. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
